Mr. Burton has been associated with ABR since 1992, and is primarily responsible for ABR's acquisitions and consulting activities.  Mr. Burton, ABR's Chief Investment Officer, previously managed ABR's asset management group.  Prior to his employment at ABR, Mr. Burton worked as an Asset Manager in the real estate division of USF&G and an auditor and consultant at Ernst & Whinney.  Mr. Burton received his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his BA from the University of Maryland.  He is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant and is licensed by the National Association of Securities Dealers.  Mr. Burton is a Supporting Member of the Zell/Lurie Real Estate Center at the Wharton School and serves as a Director of CCI, a student housing mortgage company.  In addition, Mr. Burton serves on the Board of Directors of Adoptions Together and is a member of the School Board of St. John the Evangelist Elementary School.
